    Integrative Bodywork

 

We all carry a remarkable kinesthetic map with an 'energetic' story to tell.

Your body retains a history of the events you've experienced, stored as an energy memory in your tissues and nervous system. These unconscious memories often create patterns of tension in the muscles, mind and emotions that may keep you in external patterns of reactivity and stress. When you bring your awareness while truly present in your body, you begin to change the pattern.

 

Every session, whether hands-on or remote, is an integrative session. Following are some of the approaches I've studied and practiced. I draw from all of them at different times, while inviting conscious breathing and healing imagery as needed.  

 

Trager PsychoPhysical Integration

Asks the questions:  What can be easier?  How much more freely can we move, think and feel? By bringing the experience of effortless movement into the body we can let go and allow greater physical ease, meanwhile 'loosening up' mental and muscular holding patterns.
 

CranioSacral Unwinding

Serves to assess and gently release restrictions associated with the spine and central nervous system. This process can result in very deep relaxation with a sense of wholeness, well-being, and connection to your essential self:  a state in which your deepest healing can occur. 

Amanae Energetic Release

Using specific pressure points, this method is valuable to subtly wake up areas that stockpile emotional tension, allowing density and feelings of 'stuckness' to be discharged.

Mindfulness-based stress reduction and Wellness Coaching

Including time-tested HeartMath tools to move your nervous system  from fight or flight to a healthier balance, helping you produce anti-stress hormones, think more clearly and increase your immune resiliency. With ongoing practice, it's likely that you will...

  • Reduce negative thought patterns that drain your energy
  • Make better self-care choices through increased self-awareness
  • Develop mindfulness and imagery techniques as habits, to use as a default in stressful situations
  • Expand your ability to meet the moment creatively
